Goodbye Nancy!

Nancy Amico has been with us for 12 years as a dental receptionist. Recently she has been offered a new career opportunity and has accepted that position.

We are sad to see her leave because she was such an excellent receptionist. We are sure a lot of patients learning of her leaving will be sad too.

Even though she is leaving she will always be part of our office. We wish her all the very best!

What Are the Signs of Gum Disease?

Gum disease is an infection in the gum, bone and tissues. Gum disease may eventually result in unstable base for your teeth, which then become mobile and may fall out or have to be removed.

Gum disease (periodontal disease) is a primary cause of tooth loss, and is often linked to diabetes.

Diabetes slows blood circulation, which can contribute to the onset of infections of gum tissues. High saliva sugar levels associated with diabetes contribute to the growth of bacteria which causes gum disease.

Smoking and poor oral hygiene for people with diabetes significantly heightens the incidence of gum disease.

Molten Lava Cake

It's cold... So treat yourself!

Molten Lava cakes are relatively easy to make, look great and the batter is forgiving. These delicious cakes are great for dinner parties because they bake for only 8 to 10 minutes; you can put these in the oven while you're making the coffee for dessert.
